Brian Jones of the Canada West Mountain SchoolActivity: Canada West Mountain School is owned and operated by UIAGM Mountain Guide Brian Jones. Brian has been committed to running environmentally sound wilderness trips in Canada and across the world for over 25 years. All programs conducted emphasize awareness of, and sensitivity to, the mountain environment. We have long practiced a Leave No Trace minimum impact philosophy in all aspects of our programs, both guided and instructional, regardless of location. The UIAA Environment Label would apply to all activities that CWMS runs, from school instructional programs to international expeditions. Experience: Canada West Mountain School has been operating full time year-round programs since 1982. CWMS is also a member of the local Climbers Access Society in Britsh Columbia, and a member of the Federation of Mountain Clubs of BC. Both these organizations are active supporters and defenders of mountain access, environment and cultures.
