New projects move ahead despite budget constraints

At a meeting in Paris in mid-May, the executive councils of the UIAA formally agreed to go forward this summer with efforts to develop further the UIAA Training Standards label and to lay the groundwork for a new Mountain Protection label.

Further developments on Training Standards label announced

Significant progress has been made on the further development of the UIAA Training Standards label. Also discussed at the recent meeting in Switzerland of the UIAA Mountaineering Commission was traditional climbing and an update to the Legal Experts Working Group document on legal liability.
