BMC international meet returns to The Cairngorms
20 Sep 2011
The British Mountaineering Council (BMC) International Winter Climbing Meet returns to The Cairngorms in 2012 and will be based at Glenmore Lodge. The Meet will run from Sunday 22nd to Sunday 29th January.
Approximately 35 international guests will be attending the BMC International Winter Climbing Meet from 35 different countries. Federations are invited to nominate two climbers from their country to take part. If the meet is oversubscribed then places will be reduced to one per country. To take part in this event climbers need to have experience of climbing routes in winter conditions (using ice axes and crampons) using leader-placed protection.
