Young mountaineers from Slovenia and India joined their counterparts from Toulouse, France, for a Global Youth Summit ice climbing training camp organized by the French Alpine Club (Fédération des clubs alpins de montagne) in the Guillestre region.

The weeklong camp attended by Arun Vajpai of India and Slovenian climbers Uroš Grilj and Laura Dovc took place between the 17th and 22nd of December. It included sessions on lead ice climbing, screwing and dry tooling sessions.

"It was amazing and I got to learn a lot which would surely help me in my future climbs," said Vajpai.

Vajpai made headlines in India when, at age 16, he became the youngest Indian to climb Mount Everest. He has also climbed Lhotse (8501 m) and Manaslu (8156 m) in Nepal.
