Youth summer camp in Russia

There is much to choose from in the summer camp programme for the Global Youth Summit. One of the events is the International Youth rock climbing and mountaineering festival “Europe – Asia 2008" in Russia.

The festival is for climbers between 18 – 25 years old  and will take part from the 12 July to 3 August 2008. The place to be is the Ural Mountains near Yekaterinburg and Ergaki (West Sayan) in Siberia, Russia.  Participants will be met by representatives of the organising committee at the Koltzovo airport or at the railway station of Yekaterinburg

Highlights include “School of the beginner rock climbers”, rock climbing, training, mountaineering, ecological actions, songs, excursions and meetings friends. The highest possible number of foreign participants is about 20 persons, so do sign up as soon as possible!

The cost is 300 Euro (payment on arrival), and for that you will get accommodation (in refuges/tents) all meals and three weeks of great activities. Travel expenses to Yekaterinburg and back (as well as from Yekaterinburg to Abakan) will have to be paid by the participants.

The festival is organised by Primerov Vitaly, Сhildren’s Olympic Reserve School of  Mountaineering Sports of  Yekaterinburg and the Climbing Federation of Russia.The activities will be organised by guides from  the children’s Olympic Reserve School.
