Activity: Shikhar Travels is India's leading adventure tour operators specializing in organizing in climbing and trekking expeditions to Indian Himalayas. Since its establishment in 1979, we have handled over 250 climbing expeditions to Indian Himalayas. Today Shikhar Travel has become a brand name in itself among travelers from all over world looking for adventure in Indian subcontinent. With efforts from its young, dedicated and enthusiastic team, Shikhar explored unknown and undiscovered areas, opened new vistas and experimented with variations to specialize in vast range of adventure activities covering almost all aspects of adventure tours. As India’s leading specialist in the field, we now offer the most diverse range of trips to cover almost all adventure sports. In addition to the above, we also do undertake corporate training programmes as well as School groups in the Indian Himalayas and also Special Interest Tours and other activities tours in different part of India. For last 28 years, Shikhar Travels is committed to excellence in mountaineering, trekking, exploratory holiday and mountain environment. We are committed to follow Eco-friendly guidelines adopted by UIAA and adhere strictly to the conditions mentioned therein. We believe in the participation of local community so that the benefit of tourism goes to area of activity. We ensure that the Guides are fully trained and qualified to take care of the activity.

Experience: Since our establishment in 1979, we have been primarily focusing on providing quality service with professional and personal touch. We have been fortunate to look after world renowned Mountaineers such as Sir Edmund Hillary, Mr. Rehnold Messner, Mrs. Junko Tabei and many others during their visit to India for various mountaineering and adventure activities. We also have been handling large school groups to mountains including the British School Exploring Society and many other Schools in India. We are recognized by Ministry of Tourism as Adventure Tour Operators, registered with Indian Mountaineering Foundation and active member of Adventure Tour Operators Association, ASTA (American Society of Travel Agents). Apart from this, we are members of many other prestigious international travel bodies. A young, dedicated and fully trained staff of Shikhar Travels is led by seasoned mountaineer Capt. Swadesh Kumar, Managing Director, who has got an experience of over 30 years in handling climbing expeditions and other adventure tours in the Indian Himalayas from different parts of the world. We have the necessary experience and expertise to provide all support to the expedition groups including ideas and suggestions for selecting the peak, liaisoning with IMF and other Govt. dept. for making the bookings, obtaining permission etc., provide complete logistic support to team.
