DESCRIPTION:The 4th edition of the Peja Rock Climbing Festival runs from 4 to 13 September\, 2026. \nIn the city of Peja\, Kosovo\, at the main gate of the “Accursed Mountains” National Park in the Rogova Gorge\, the organisers invite you to experience Rock Climbing / Bolted Climbing Routes / Climbing Experiences / Topo Development / Documentary / Bouldering Competitions / Environmental Activities / Music and DJ / Social Events / Via Ferrata / Zip Line / and lots of fun \nAll ages are welcome. \n“This festival is more than just climbing. It unites climbers with one goal: To develop an unknown destination with a lot of potential for rock climbing. For 10 days together we will bolt 50 new routes and zones for climbing\, we will classify the routes by difficulty\, we will work on maps\, and we will publish the website in a professional manner. Together we will help each other to raise and promote the values of the climbing community in the world\, while we will also have a 3 day weekend with a lot of climbing and fun. In addition to the route bolting and climbing\, the festival will also offer many other recreational activities that will help your stay be full of great experiences. The promotion of participant’s destinations\, exhibitions\, organization of bouldering competitions\, presentation of videos and climber success stories\, socializing\, via Ferrata\, Zip Line and many other activities will be integrated into the festival program. SUMMARY:Suru Outdoor Fest
DESCRIPTION:The Suru Outdoor Fest\, a former UIAA Rock Climbing Festival Award winner\, is a major Asian gathering with international reach and a long-term role in developing the valley. It is well attended and has a strong community feel. \nThe 2026 edition will take place from 10-25 September in the Suru Valley\, Ladakh\, India \nThe event started in 2016 as a small gathering of climbers who wanted to explore the untouched boulders of the Suru Valley in Ladakh. What began with a handful of friends and a few crash pads has grown into South Asia’s most celebrated multi-sport outdoor festival. \nEvery edition develops new boulder problems on the valley’s granite\, expanding the only permanent outdoor bouldering area in the region. Over ten editions we have collectively put up more than 500 boulder problems — a living guide carved into the stone of Ladakh. \nThe festival has won the prestigious UIAA Rock Climbing Festival Award (2019) and has been featured in Outlook Traveller\, The Outdoor Journal\, Rock and Ice\, and ZEE5 — placing Suru Valley firmly on the global adventure map. \nBeyond the sport\, SURU FEST is a platform for environmental and community action. Every edition\, a portion of all proceeds go directly into conservation work in the Suru Valley — trail building\, waste management\, and supporting local Ladakhi families who host and feed 1\,000+ visitors. \nThe festival runs a Leave No Trace protocol. All camping waste is carried out.
