SUMMARY:BMC Gower Festival
DESCRIPTION:The BMC Gower Festival is an annual event. The 2025 edition takes place from 5-7 September. The new venue is at a Scout Centre nearer to Swansea. This is a family event. \nServices: Pick up supplies on the way in past Swansea or while out in Gower during the day. Food stalls and bar available on the festival site\, together with gear stalls. \nAccommodation: Camping (space for tents and camper vans\, though these get booked quite quickly). Other campsites available if you don’t want to stay on the festival site. \nFood: Self-catering or buy at festival food stalls. Pubs and restaurants near climbing venues. \nTransport: Probably cars. Nearest train station is Swansea. \nItinerary: Arrive on Friday to climb if agreed. Otherwise meet the festival site on Friday evening. Climbing on Saturday\, and on Sunday for those not in a hurry to get home. Some free courses will be on offer. DESCRIPTION:The UIAA will attend the International Mountain Conference – IMC – will take places from 14-18  September in Innsbruck\, Austria. \n#IMC builds upon the previous mountain conferences and aims to continue this scientific conference series exclusively targeted towards mountain-research. Hosted in the Alps\, #IMC provides an excellent opportunity for experts from different disciplines to discuss mountain-related issues in a cross-disciplinary setting with flexible session formats.
