Xfinity login: sign in to your Comcast account

To sign in to Xfinity, open customer.xfinity.com or the Xfinity app and enter your Xfinity ID — your email, mobile number or username — with your password. This guide also fixes a wrong password, a forgotten Xfinity ID and verification problems.

Both links lead to Xfinity. This independent guide does not provide a login form, collect your Xfinity ID, password or verification codes, or offer account recovery services.

First, which Xfinity sign-in problem do you have?

Most failed Xfinity logins are one of a few situations. Trying the same sign-in again when the real issue is a forgotten password only repeats the error — so match your case first.

I know my ID and password

Go straight to sign in on a computer or use the Xfinity app.

Wrong password

Reset it at xfinity.com/password. See the reset steps.

Forgot my Xfinity ID

Look it up at xfinity.com/username. See how to find it.

Only want my email

Open Xfinity Email and read the email sign-in steps.

Xfinity login error messages — and what each one means

Match the message on your screen to the row below. The wording is close to what Xfinity shows during sign-in and password reset.

How to sign in to Xfinity on a computer

  1. Open a supported browser and go to customer.xfinity.com.
  2. Enter your Xfinity ID — your email, mobile number or username — and continue.
  3. Enter your password. Depending on your account, Xfinity may offer other sign-in methods.
  4. Complete any verification, such as a code sent by text or email.
  5. You reach your account, where you can manage services, billing, email and TV settings.

Check the address before entering credentials. Start from the Xfinity link above. A guide about Xfinity should never need your Xfinity ID, password or a verification code.

Sign in with the Xfinity app

The Xfinity app is the easiest way to manage your account on a phone. Download it from the Apple App Store or Google Play, open it, and sign in with your Xfinity ID and password.

If the app is already signed in to another account, open the account menu to switch accounts or add another. On an X1 TV Box you can also press the xfinity button, then choose Settings → My Account, or say "my account" into the Voice Remote.

Sign in to Xfinity (Comcast) Email

To read your @comcast.net mail, open Xfinity Email and sign in with your Xfinity ID and password. You can also reach Email from the top of your account after signing in at customer.xfinity.com.

If the webmail opens a different mailbox, use the account menu to switch. Comcast email stays available to many former customers, but the exact rules depend on your account status.

Find a forgotten Xfinity ID

Your Xfinity ID can be an email, a mobile number or a username. If you are not sure which one is on the account, look it up at xfinity.com/username.

Xfinity asks you to verify your identity with a mobile number or personal email already on the account, then shows the matching Xfinity ID. If you mistype the ID on the sign-in page, the reset and recovery options will not appear — so re-check the spelling first.

Reset your Xfinity password

  1. Go to xfinity.com/password.
  2. Enter your Xfinity ID, a verified mobile number, or a personal (non-Xfinity) email on the account, and continue.
  3. Choose to receive the reset code by text message or email.
  4. Enter the code, then create and confirm a new password.

Passwords must be 8 to 128 characters, include at least one number and one special character, and must not contain your name or username. Already signed in? You can change the password under Account → Account and Identity → Xfinity ID and security.

Important: no paid "account recovery service", agent or phone number can restore an Xfinity account faster or more reliably than Xfinity's own flow. Anyone asking for your code or a fee is a scam.

Secondary users and the primary account holder

Xfinity accounts have a primary account holder plus any secondary users they add. If you are a secondary user with no mobile number or personal email on file, you cannot reset your own password — the primary account holder has to do it, or add a contact method to your profile first.

If you are the primary holder, you can manage users, reset a secondary user's password and add recovery contact details from your account settings. Adding a mobile number or personal email to each user makes future sign-in problems far easier to fix.

Xfinity login scams and how to avoid them

Sign-in and "account support" are common lures for phishing and social engineering. Learn the patterns before you get caught out.

Fake login pages

Links in emails, texts or ads that open a page looking like Xfinity's. You only ever type your password on xfinity.com — check the address bar first.

"Your account is suspended — pay now"

Urgent calls, texts or emails demanding payment, often by gift card. Xfinity does not take gift cards, and genuine billing is handled in your account.

Fake "Xfinity support" numbers

Numbers in ads or forums promising to unlock accounts. Start from xfinity.com/support or Xfinity Assistant instead.

Code-forwarding requests

Anyone asking you to read out or forward a verification code is trying to take the account. Never share a code with a person.

Safe rule of thumb: your Xfinity ID password and any verification code are entered only on Xfinity's own pages and never shared with anyone — not even "support". Turning on two-step verification makes a stolen password far less useful.

Protect your Xfinity account

Once you are back in, spend a few minutes on account security:

  • Turn on two-step verification in your account's security settings.
  • Keep a mobile number and a personal email on the account so you can always recover access.
  • Use a unique password and store it in a trusted password manager.
  • Review the authorized users and the devices signed in to your account.

If something looks wrong — unexpected password-reset emails or sign-in alerts — change your password and review recent activity through Xfinity support.

Xfinity login questions

What is my Xfinity ID?

Your Xfinity ID is what you sign in with. It can be the email, mobile number or username linked to your account, used together with your password at customer.xfinity.com.

What is the official Xfinity login website?

Sign in to your account at customer.xfinity.com, and to Xfinity Email at connect.xfinity.com. Enter your details only on Xfinity's own pages.

I forgot my Xfinity ID. How do I find it?

Go to xfinity.com/username and verify your identity with a mobile number or personal email on the account. Xfinity then shows the matching Xfinity ID.

How do I reset my Xfinity password?

Go to xfinity.com/password, enter your Xfinity ID, and choose a reset code by text or email. Create a new password of 8–128 characters with at least one number and one special character.

Why can't I reset my password?

If you are not the primary account holder and have no mobile number or personal email on file, you cannot reset it yourself — the primary holder must. A mistyped Xfinity ID also hides the reset options.

Can this website recover my Xfinity account for me?

No. This page gives instructions and links to Xfinity. Never pay a service or share a password or verification code with anyone claiming they can recover an account for you.
